-How this Bento box is made.

This Bento box is made of Japanese cedar wood grown in Fukuoka, Oita, and Saga Prefectures, Japan.
It uses the traditional technique of "hiki-mage," in which a board is cut and slowly bent in hot water.
After the bent wooden part is dried and the bottom attached, we apply Urushi lacquer, natural material obtained from the sap of the lacquer tree, and wipe with a cloth.
This coating makes the Bento box more durable and easier to care for after use.
We also use Urushi lacqurer for gluing parts as it is an excellent adhesive and
we prefer to make our products with natural materials as possible.

-How to use this Bento box.

You can put in any oily dishes since its coating prevents food stains on the Bento box.
Because its made of cedar wood, it absorbs excess moisture from the rice keeping it tasty.
Its light weight makes it perfect for picnics and outings.
Although the lid does not close tightly, wrapping it with a cloth is recommended.

-How to care the Bento box.

After use, please hand wash it gently with a soft sponge.
Mild detergent can also be used.
Avoid soaking in water for long periods of time or exposing to direct sunlight, which may cause discoloration.
Can not be used in microwave ovens or dishwashers.
